DID YOU KNOW?
- All existing buildings & newly constructed buildings are required to have a Radio Frequency Signal Strength Survey by October 31st, 2019? This provides a 14-month window to complete the signal strength surveys for EVERY existing building in the state.
- All buildings with insufficient in-building radio frequency coverage in critical areas of the building must install a ERCES/BDA before Jan 1, 2022. This provides only a 26-month window to install the ERCES/BDAs—including retrofit into existing buildings—into every building with poor in-building radio coverage. All newly installed BDA systems require licensed certified company (CSS) to annually test the system for proper operation per NFPA 72: 9.22.1 (verify code!)
- NOTIFIER’s UL 2524-Listed BDA Systems include specific features designed to meet Florida-specific requirements that provide building owners to meet code—in advance of the mandated deadlines. Most BDA Systems are NOT UL listed and do not meet the standards for Enhanced Emergency Radio Communications, did you know that?
